In the second match of IPL 2020, Chennai Super Kings defeated the defending champions Mumbai Indians. The fixture saw Mumbai Indians setting a target of 163 runs which was chased down by Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led CSK in 19.2 overs with five wickets remaining.
Lungi Ngidi played a crucial role in this important win of Chennai Super Kings. He ran through the lower middle-order completely and took three major Mumbai Indians wickets. Three MI all-rounders- Kieron Pollard, Hardik Pandya, and Krunal Pandya were sent back to the pavilion to restrict them to 162.
