Shastri, a former cricketer, has been a prominent figure in the broadcast team since leaving his role as India’s head coach in 2021. His distinctive green hat, made by a local craftsman named Stephen from Barbados, has also garnered attention during his commentary duties.
Recently, Shastri was on commentary during India’s match against Afghanistan, where India secured a convincing 47-run victory. His energetic welcome during the India vs. Pakistan clash in New York earlier this month left both Rohit Sharma and Babar Azam impressed.
