India had a shaky start as Rohit Sharma and his team took the crease. Rohit managed just 6 runs before being dismissed, followed by Shubman Gill getting out for a duck. Virat Kohli also departed quickly, scoring 6 runs off 6 balls. In this difficult situation, Yashasvi Jaiswal stepped up with a solid knock of 56 runs from 118 balls. However, both Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul couldn’t stay long at the crease.
Amidst the struggle, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja formed a crucial partnership, stabilizing the innings. Ashwin reached his century, ending the day unbeaten with 102 runs off 112 balls, including 10 fours and 2 sixes. Jadeja also played a significant role, scoring 86 runs from 117 balls with 10 boundaries and 2 sixes. Team India wrapped up the day at 339/6, thanks to their impressive efforts.
