Star Indian batter Rinku Singh has named Rohit Sharma as his favorite captain, praising his leadership and also noting Virat Kohli’s effective aggression. In a News 24 interview, Rinku shared his admiration for top players like Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina, and revealed his life-changing memory of hitting five consecutive sixes in an IPL 2023 match.

Star Indian batter Rinku Singh, who made his international debut for India under Jasprit Bumrah’s captaincy during a T20I match against Ireland in Dublin on August 18, 2023, has named Rohit Sharma as his favourite captain.
Rinku has played three T20Is for India under Rohit’s leadership and was part of a 190-run partnership with him during a match against Afghanistan in Bengaluru on January 17, 2024.
Rinku expressed his admiration for Rohit’s leadership and said“Rohit bhaiya pasand hai kaptaani mei (I like Rohit Sharma’s captaincy). Aur Virat bhaiya kyuki aggression bahut jaruri hota hai kaptaani mein, team ko lekar chalna, toh unki kaptaani bhi kafi achi thi (Virat Kohli because aggression is very important in captaincy, so his leadership was also very good).”

In a recent interview with News 24 the rising star of Indian Cricket ,Rinku singh shared whom he admires in the cricket World.
Rinku became a household name in India after hitting five consecutive sixes to win an IPL 2023 match for Kolkata Knight Riders against Gujarat Titans.
“Raina bhi aur sabke he favourite hai Rohit bhaiya, unke paas itna time hai khlene hai, Virat bhaiya, Surya bhai. Alag hai vo ekdum, vo aise shot maarte hai ki koi maar he nahi sakta (I like Raina, and Rohit is everyone’s favourite because he has so much time to play, Virat, and Surya. He is different, and the kind of shots he plays, no one else can).”

The 26-year-old chose that match as his favorite cricket memory, stating that it changed his life.
Reflecting on the moment, Rinku said, “The memory of hitting those five sixes is my best memory because it changed my entire life.”
Rinku also mentioned that during the match, he wasn’t aware of how many runs were needed to win. He simply focused on hitting the shots without worrying about the outcome.
