The auction began with marquee sets, and the first player to be sold was Arshdeep Singh, going for Rs 18 crore through an RTM card.

Pant’s bidding quickly escalated. Initially, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) were in the race. LSG raised the bid to Rs 27 crore, securing Pant. 

Meanwhile, Shreyas Iyer was also in high demand, becoming the most expensive Indian player ever with a bid of Rs 26.75 crore from Punjab Kings.

Mitchell Starc was another top pick, bought by Delhi Capitals for Rs 11.75 crore.
