Rohit Sharma Join the 10k club with a bang

This edition of the Asia Cup is just all about reaching milestones or breaking records. Now it is high time for Rohit Sharma. Indian skipper completed 10,000 runs in ODI in the match against Sri Lanka in Super 4. He has become the second-fastest batter to do it. Rohit completed 10,000 runs in 241 innings. Sharma left Tendulkar, Ponting, Ganguly, and Lara behind. Only Kohli is in front of him. He becomes the sixth Indian to cross this milestone. 

The early stage of the career:

                                           In 2007 Rohit made his ODI debut for India against Ireland. The Indian skipper holds the world record for the highest individual score of 264 runs in an ODI. He is also the only player to score three double-centuries in an ODI. He also scored five tons in a single Cricket World Cup. He made his first ODI century in 2010 in the tri-nation series against Zimbabwe. Till now he scored 30 ODI centuries and three double centuries. He scored his first double-century against Australia in 2013.

                                        Rohit crossed this landmark in the 50th game between India and Sri Lanka. While batting Against Sri Lanka, when Sharma was batting on 22 he achieved the milestone. He became the 15th batter to achieve this milestone in world cricket. Kohli is at the top of this list. He has completed his 10000 runs in 205 innings against West Indies.

                                        The other Indian batter of the 10000 club is Sachin Tendulkar with 18.426 runs, Virat Kohli with 13,026 runs, Sourav Ganguly with 11,363 runs, Rahul Dravid with 10,889 runs and MS Dhoni with 10,773 runs.
