According to sources, the BCCI selection committee has decided on letting KL Rahul play in the championship.

Several cricket experts like ex-player Irfan Pathan had previously ignored KL while choosing their ideal team for the tournament. 

Rishabh Pant, is another player who has been decided upon as a wicketkeeper alongside Rahul, the same source Claims. Both KL and Pant are captains of Lucknow Super Giants and Delhi Capitals respectively.

The ICC T20 World Cup starts on June 1 and the matches are to be held in the USA and West Indies. India’s first match is scheduled for June 5 against a relatively easier-to-play-against Ireland.
