Rohit Sharma Praises Team Effort After India’s Semifinal Victory Over England

The revenge has been taken and Team India is all set to face South Africa in the T20 World Cup. Once again Team India will play the final. After appearing in the semifinal with an unbeaten streak, Team India continued that with immense domination. They defeated England by a huge margin of 68 runs. From batting efforts to bowling brilliance, India covered it all. After the exciting win, Team India captain Rohit Sharma expressed his feelings.

Team India gave an amazing start by remaining undefeated. They kept alive their winning streak even in the Super Eight stage. In the semifinal match, they faced England and it was an exciting match to watch. Team India registered amazing performance on the big stage in every department. The players were in exciting form. Depending on this excellence, India defeated England by 68 runs. 

With that win, India qualified for the final match. After registering the win, Rohit Sharma said, “Very satisfying to win this game. We worked really hard as a unit. To win this game like that was a great effort from everyone. We adapted to the conditions really well. It was a challenge and we adapted.”

On the Condition and praising the bowlers:

The match was dramatic as rain interrupted the match multiple times. As the toss was delayed, the match started late. In both departments, the players adapted the conditions perfectly, While talking about this, Rohit said, “We played the conditions really well. If the players play according to the conditions, things falls in place. Very pleasing with how we came through. At one stage, 1450-150, as the game went on, after that partnership, we said another 25 runs.”

Later he added, “I can set the target in my mind, but I don’t want to let anyone know about it, to the batters. They are all instinctive players. I thought 170 was a very good surface.”

While bowling in the second innings, Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel set the stage on fire. Both secured three wickets each. These two performances helped India to dominate the England side. While praising them, the Indian skipper said, “They (Axar and Kuldeep) are gun spinners. It’s difficult to play some shots, the pressure is on them as well but they were calm and knew what to bowl.
