Rohit Sharma’s Cricketing Empire Expands with Launch of Crickingdom Academy in USA

Renowned Indian cricket captain, Rohit Sharma, has embarked on a new off-field journey by launching his Cricket Academy named Crickingdom in California, USA. With a colossal fan following spanning across the globe, Rohit’s influence extends beyond the cricketing arena. The 36-year-old’s academy is set to provide a platform for budding cricketers in the USA to fulfil their aspirations of excelling at the highest level of the sport.

Crickingdom extending boundaries 

Crickingdom, initially established in India, is gradually extending its footprint beyond national borders, with the USA being its latest destination. The move resonates with the growing interest in cricket in the United States, spotlighted by the successful hosting of the inaugural season of Major League Cricket (MLC). Rohit Sharma’s venture aligns seamlessly with this surge in enthusiasm for the sport in the country. 

Rohit’s business partner, Chetan Suryawanshi, shared the news of the academy’s launch, accompanied by a picture featuring Rohit Sharma and other partners. The caption read, “Crickingdom Cricket Academy by Rohit Sharma in the United States of America – Pre-launch celebrations.” 

Rohit Sharma will return during Asia Cup 

Turning the spotlight to the MLC’s debut season, it was MI New York, captained by Nicholas Pooran, who emerged victorious as champions. Pooran’s phenomenal innings of 137* (55), embellished with ten fours and 13 sixes, powered his team to a remarkable chase of 184 runs in a mere 16 overs. The triumphant feat etched their names in history as the inaugural Major League Cricket champions, a testament to the growing prowess of cricket in the USA. 

In the midst of his off-field endeavours, Rohit Sharma’s on-field performances continue to captivate fans. In the recent encounter against West Indies, Rohit’s calculated knock of 12*(19) contributed to India’s five-wicket victory in the first ODI. Displaying tactical acumen, he chose to let the younger players open the innings, a strategy that initially faltered as India lost five wickets with 95 runs on the board. Rohit’s subsequent entry ensured the game’s successful conclusion, highlighting his leadership and commitment to the team’s success.
