Ruturaj Gaikwad to Lead India A Squad for Australia Tour

The BCCI has announced a 15-member India A squad for the upcoming tour of Australia, set to begin on October 31. The squad, led by Ruturaj Gaikwad, includes several promising players aiming to make their mark on the international stage. Abhimanyu Easwaran, who has been in excellent form in domestic cricket, has been named vice-captain. Ishan Kishan also makes a comeback to the team after a strong showing in domestic tournaments.

India A will play two first-class matches against Australia A

Followed by a three-day intra-squad game with the senior Indian team in Perth. The matches are crucial, particularly with the reports suggesting that India captain Rohit Sharma might miss the first two Tests of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. 

The India A games will give young players like Gaikwad and Easwaran a chance to showcase their talent and push for a spot in the senior side.
