India’s legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar always won hearts with his masterful batting during his playing days. But what made him the greatest cricketer ever was his humility on and off the field. Despite all his greatness, he was always humble and thus, he always received massive love from around the cricketing fraternity.
Even after his retirement, he is pretty popular amongst the fans. The 45-year-old always wants to make lives better and so, gets involved in a lot of charity work. Recently, on the occasion of Christmas, he did a heart-warming gesture that only adds to his legendary stature.
Sachin Tendulkar wins hearts again
Sachin Tendulkar decided to please some underprivileged children on Christmas. He visited the Ashray Child Care Centre, an NGO, in Mumbai which is a shelter to a number of underprivileged young kids. The Bharat Ratna dressed up like a Santa Claus and visited the centre.
The kids had no idea about his visit and when they saw him, they were thrilled to see their hero in front of them. They were quick to react and surrounded the legend. He spent some quality time with the children and gave them a day worth remembering for a lifetime.
Tendulkar played cricket with them and also distributed sports equipment like a cricket bat, football, badminton racquet. The Mumbaikar has attempted to promote sports in the country and it was another kind effort by him.
Sachin Tendulkar once again proved that it’s not just about mounting milestones on the ground. The fans have given so much love to him throughout his career and he is now giving back to society.
