Sanju Samson Makes Heads Turn With Second Half Century In The Ongoing SMAT 2023

The Indian Cricket Team is all set to make a statement in the 2023 World Cup having won all the five matches it has played since the commencement of the tournament. Indian cricketers Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have been leading the board with becoming the leading run-getters in the tournament. There is no doubt, the players who have been selected to India’s World Cup squad are quite exceptional and brilliant but one such player which the management missed out on is certainly Sanju Samson. 

Second consecutive 50 by Samson

Apart from the big World Cup tournament, a T20 competition named Syded Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2023 is in process with cricketers from different Indian states taking on each other and displaying their exceptional performances. Recently, in a match that was held between Kerala and Odisha at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, Sanju Samson pulled off a remarkable knock by smashing 55 runs off 31 deliveries. The Kerala skipper displayed on a scintillating show having smashed four boundaries and sixes each. 

After Kerala’s loss of 2 wickets at 90 runs for 11.1 overs, Sanju Samson came at No.4 to bat and led the team to a total of 183/4 in 20 overs. Having scored 55 runs at a remarkable pace, he scored his second consecutive half century of the ongoing domestic T20 competition. 

Reliving the first knock

Earlier, Sanju Samson attained this feat in theatch against Chandigarh on October 21. He scored a breathtaking 52 runs from 32 balls for Kerala which included four boundaries and three sixes in total. He posed as the man of the moment after he took Kerala to a score of 193 runs and won the match by a margin of just 7 runs.
