“With so much interference, nepotism, and favoritism by cricket officials, and no merit in player selection at the regional level, how can Pakistani cricket improve?” he said. Shabbir stated that he wanted to develop and promote the game and players at the district and regional levels, which is why he took the job as head coach in Dera Ghazi Khan.

In Dera Ghazi Khan, Shabbir Ahmed became the head coach with the intention of developing cricket talent at the district and regional levels. His main goals were to assist the local sport’s growth and serve as a mentor to budding athletes. His goals were to improve cricket as a game and provide chances for young players in the area to grow and be successful.
“Unfortunately, I find everything I’ve gone through to be really annoying. He stated, “In the end, a player who uses political and other connections to get in is chosen over a player who works hard all year long and is a good talent.”
