Finally, we found the two teams who will compete for the beautiful ultimate IPL trophy. It was Qualifier 2 between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals at Chennai and SRH outshined RR and became the second team to qualify in the finals with their excellence. It will be the ultimate clash between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad at the grand finale stage of Indian Premier League (IPL). Before that, today SRH played amazingly well, especially the way they defended the total, which is really appreciatable. It will be their ultimate charged-up moment to get the IPL trophy.
Shahbaz Ahmed’s Excellence:
Despite losing wickets, Sunrisers Hyderabad batted really well while batting first and put up 175 runs on board. When they came to bowl, Yashasvi Jaiswal played well and balanced their team, but after he got out SRH took charge and bowled brilliantly and took RR’s one-by-one wickets. The main difference between the two was when SRH bowler Shahbaz Ahmed came to bowl. He bowled economically, didn’t concede any unnecessary runs, and took important wickets. Rajasthan Royal’s Dhruv Jurel played a fighting knock for his team.
He conceded 23 runs in his entire spell and took 3 crucial wickets. He picked up wickets of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Riyan Parag, and Ravichandran Ashwin, which helped his team to defend the total and won by a margin of 36 runs. Now it’s time for him to showcase his excellence once again at the big stage of the final. Also, not only with the ball, he contributed with the bat by scoring 18 important runs for the team.
Tonight’s POTM, Shahbaz Ahmed:
After his brilliant effort at the most important match for his team, he deserves to be awarded the Player of the Match and obviously, he did. After receiving the award at the post-match presentation he expressed his feeling about the match and about being at the finals.
He expressed, “ The captain and coach told me depending on the situation we will use you, my role was to bat lower down the order and they said if we collapse we will send you. When I was batting, I felt that this wicket has something and the way Avesh and Sandeep bowled showed. I’m feeling proud at having got the Man of the Match in such a game, the atmosphere is quite relaxed in the camp. We will celebrate only after winning the final, tonight we will just relax.”
