Shoaib Akhtar and Wasim Akram Slam PCB for Their Poor Management

Shoaib Akhtar, a former speedster for Pakistan, expressed his dissatisfaction with the uncertainties surrounding the choice of the new chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

On Friday, June 30, Akhtar suggested on his Twitter account that Zaka Ashraf be chosen as the board chairman. Given that there are some significant concerns that need to be resolved, he believed that the current problems needed to be resolved as quickly as possible.

On Twitter, Akhtar stated:

“An organization like PCB should not be made a joke like this by people. There are serious matters which need to be addressed and delay will damage things. Zaka Ashraf sb should take charge and things should be on track.”

It is important to note that a stay order from the High Court of Balochistan has caused the election for the new PCB chairman to be postponed. The governing board of the PCB plays a big part in choosing the chairman.

The governing board was allegedly constituted in violation of the Constitution, according to a lawsuit that has been filed. A day before the election, many writ petitions to halt the process were filed in various Pakistani courts.

Former cricketer Shoaib Akhtar is not the only one who disapproves of recent events involving the PCB.

Wasim Akram has also commented on the ineptitude of the Pakistani board. He made mention of Pakistan’s reservations on visiting India for the future ICC Cricket World Cup in 2023. The Men in Green apparently didn’t want to play Afghanistan on a spin-friendly in Chennai then play India in Ahmedabad.

“I am all for egos. If you have an ego and you understand that if there’s something wrong, raise your voice. But again, move on. They are back to where they began. So, always plan, and think about whether we can do it. If you can’t do it, then don’t do it. It leads to mockery. It’s only a game. Let the government discuss it, that’s their problem.”
