Shoaib Akhtar Shares a Tweet Where He Expresses Frustration With Pakistan Management and Captain’s Decision To Bowl First

With Pakistan’s bowling unit turning out as poor as it can be throughout the tournament, with several former cricketers, now Shoaib Akhtar has mocked the team for its dismal performance along with the decision to bowl first against New Zealand. With the big-ticket clash being held at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore featuring Pakistan and New Zealand, it is important for both the teams to win the big match given that the victory will lead them into the semi-finals.

Showing up on their batting prowess

New Zealand batters literally unleashed havoc on Pakistani bowlers after they amassed a massive target of 402 runs for the Men in Green. The batting line-up of the Kiwis were so really consistent with its team performance with first openers Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra partnering 86 runs when the former got departed. Then, Rachin Ravindra went on to smash a brilliant 108-run century while Kane Williamson departed after playing a masterful knock of 95 runs making a powerful comeback.

Shoaib unsatisfied with the captain’s decision

Former Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar took to his Twitter handle to claim that the decision of the management and captain was erroneous after winning the toss. He remarked “I don’t understand the Pak team management and the captain NZ with half their bowling injured, why won’t you bat first on a wicket like this to do what they’re doing to you now.”

The Pakistani bowlers literally failed to justify Babar Azam’s expectations that the bowlers would dismantle New Zealand’s line-up and that it would be easy for them to chase the target. But it turned out the opposite for the Babar’s men as the Kiwis unleashed terror in the minds of Pakistani bowlers. If Pakistan lose today, the team will get dismissed of the ongoing tournament permanently.
