Indian cricketer Shreyas Iyer has once again made headlines, this time for acquiring a new apartment in Mumbai’s upscale Worli area. The property, jointly purchased with his mother, Rohini Iyer, was bought for ₹2.90 crore, as revealed by property registration documents.
Iyer’s Expanding Real Estate Portfolio
This is not Shreyas Iyer’s first foray into Mumbai’s high-end real estate market. In September 2020, the cricketer purchased a 2380 sq ft apartment on the 48th floor of Lodha World Towers.
The property, bought at ₹49,817 per sq ft, came with three parking spaces, further emphasising his penchant for exclusive properties.
Iyer also ventured into commercial real estate in July 2024 when he bought a 510 sq ft commercial property in Worli for ₹2.9 crore.
The apartment, measuring 525 sq ft, is located on the second floor of the Triveni Industrial CHSL in Adarsh Nagar, Worli. The price per square foot stands at ₹55,238, with an additional stamp duty of ₹17.40 lakh and registration fees of ₹30,000.
This purchase adds to Iyer’s growing real estate portfolio in Mumbai, where he already owns a lavish residence in Lodha World Towers, one of the city’s tallest buildings.

Worli: A Hotspot for Luxury Real Estate
Worli continues to attract elite buyers, with luxury apartments in the area selling for ₹1 lakh to ₹1.50 lakh per sq ft.
Centrally located, it provides easy access to key business districts, making it a prime location for residential and commercial investments.
Developers like Oberoi Realty and Macrotech (Lodha) have a significant presence in the area, further driving up the demand for properties.
In May 2024, Oberoi Realty announced a major redevelopment project in Adarsh Nagar, offering additional high-end residential space to the market.
