Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) secures exclusive Asia Cup media rights from 2024 to 2031.
The landmark deal, announced by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), represents a significant 70% increase in value compared to the previous cycle.
Sony won Asia Cup rights for $170 million after Jio-Star withdrew from the Dubai e-auction.
Key Features of the Deal
The eight-year agreement covers four editions of the Asia Cup, divided equally between ODI and T20 formats.
The next Asia Cup in 2025 will take place in India in the T20 format.
Subsequent editions will be hosted by Bangladesh (2027, ODI), Pakistan (2029, T20), and Sri Lanka (2031, ODI).
Additionally, the deal includes the Men’s and Women’s Asia Cups, Under-19 Asia Cups, and Emerging Teams Asia Cups.

This partnership ensures comprehensive and innovative coverage of Asian cricket’s marquee tournaments across television, digital, and audio platforms,” the ACC said in a statement.
