After a while, the red ball cricket is coming back to Indian soil. After a long break, Team India is all set to be back on national duty. From September 19, Team India will face Bangladesh in a two-match Test series. Bangladesh is already boosted up after defeating Pakistan by a 2-0 margin. Before the series starts, former BCCI president Sourav Ganguly made a big prediction.
Praising the Bangladesh Side After the Recent Win:
The longest format is coming back to excite the Indian fans. September 19 onwards, Team India will face Bangladesh on home soil. Before stepping into the two-match Test series against India, Bangladesh is in impressive form. In their last Test series against Pakistan, they defeated the opponent by a massive 2-0 margin. In that whole series, the Bangladeshi side showcased their best performance and claimed the series.
While talking about this, former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly praised their win but still thinks, India will steal the show. He said, “Going to Pakistan and beating them is never easy, so congratulations to the (Bangladesh) players. But India will be a different kettle of fish; India, whether at home or away, are a fantastic side with a very strong batting unit.”
Backing the Indian side:
After facing the England side in home condition, Team India is on their way to face Bangladesh in a two-match Test series. In their recent stats, Team India is holding a big advantage. In the last two Test series, India whitewashed Bangladesh. But now, India can face tough competition as the Bangladesh side is in a great form.
Standing on that situation, Ganguly expects India to maintain their dominance and win the home Test series. However, he acknowledged that Bangladesh, boosted by their recent historic Test series win over Pakistan, might put up a strong fight. The contest could be more competitive than anticipated.

He said, “I don’t see Bangladesh winning; India will win the series. But India must expect good and tough cricket from Bangladesh because they are coming into the series with a lot of confidence after beating Pakistan in Pakistan.”
