At Bengaluru’s M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Khan made a stylish entrance in his Pathaan persona, delivering a poignant speech on women’s empowerment. Following his empowering words, he captivated the audience with an electrifying performance, dancing to the tunes of his chart-toppers ”Jhoome Jo Pathaan” from Pathaan and ”Not Ramaiya Vastavaiya” from Jawan. Khan’s charismatic presence and impactful message left a lasting impression on spectators at the stadium.

While performing he said in his own style, “Agar party Pathaan ke ghar pe rakoge, toh mehmaan nawazi ke liye Pathaan toh ayega hi. Nachega, nachaayga aur jhoomega.”

Among them were Harmanpreet Kaur representing Mumbai Indians, Smriti Mandhana leading RCB, Alyssa Healy for UP Warriorz, Meg Lanning from Delhi Capitals, and Beth Mooney of Gujarat Giants. With Khan’s warm introduction, the stage was set for these eminent leaders to showcase their prowess and lead their respective teams in the highly anticipated Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024 Season 2.

On 23rd February, Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians started the tournament on a high note. After Winning the toss, MI decided to bowl first. While batting first, DC had a quick setback. Shafali Verma walked away after scoring only 1 run. They Alice Capsey joined skipper Meg Lanning. The duo maintained a good partnership until Lanning got out on 31. Capsey played an impactful Innings by scoring 75 runs in 53 deliveries. On MI’s side, Amelia Kerr took 2 wickets in 43 runs.
