Suryakumar Yadav posted an emotional message after MI got knocked out of the IPL 2023 in the Qualifier 2 by Gujarat Titans. The 360 degree batter said that the season was filled with ups and downs and he is proud of his team. He said that they will be back stronger in the next season.
Suryakumar Yadav’s Post
“We bow out of this IPL season with our heads held high. A season of come backs, filled with more ups than downs. This team, this season, these bonds will remain very special and very close to my heart. We will be back stronger. Thank you for always having our back, Paltan”
Gujarat Titans were able to reach a huge total of 233/3 in 20 overs thanks to Shubman Gill‘s third century of the year. Gill scored 129 runs off of 60 balls, and Hardik Pandya and Rashid Khan delivered strong finishes to secure the victory for GT. Despite the lofty aim, Tilak Varma, Cameron Green, and Suryakumar Yadav‘s powerful hitting helped MI stay on course for the first 10 overs as the 10th over, SKY continued to keep MI in the game, but the five-time champions lost their composure as he fell in the 15th over. Mumbai lost by a score of 171, and the Titans became the third team—behind their opponents for the day and their opponents in the championship match—to advance to the title match in back-to-back seasons.
In 32 balls, Gill reached his fifth half-century of the season. After that, he went ballistic and pounded the MI bowlers all over the pitch throughout the middle overs, almost carelessly. In just 49 balls, he completed his third century of the year, and he then continued to pick up speed. He was eventually out for 129 off 60 balls, and his innings featured a stunning 10 sixes in addition to seven fours.
