Her experience as the all-time leading run-scorer in women’s T20 internationals will provide valuable expertise to the Hurricanes as they aim for success in the upcoming matches.

Hobart Hurricanes’ general manager, Salliann Beams, expressed excitement over Bates joining the squad, stating, “Bringing Suzie into our WBBL squad just made sense as soon as we saw she was not selected in the draft.

She provides more than 130 games of T20I cricket [167] and will give us an experienced operator when we lose someone of Danni’s ability in our line-up.”

Impact on the Team’s Performance

Bates’ inclusion is crucial for the Hurricanes, especially with the absence of Wyatt-Hodge, who has been a significant player for the team.

As the Hurricanes gear up for their final games, Bates’ ability to perform under pressure will be key in maintaining the team’s competitive edge.

Her seasoned approach and skill will not only bolster the batting lineup but also inspire younger players in the squad.

The Hobart Hurricanes now look to  their potential as they integrate Bates into their lineup.
