According to Harbhajan Singh’s prediction on T20 World Cup 2024 finals, India would defeat England in the semifinals and Afghanistan would come out victorious in the match against South Africa. This was shared in a video by “Instant Bollywood” on Instagram when Harbhajan was papped while travelling.
When asked about whether India would win their semi final fixture against England, Singh replied, “Jeetega bhai, India pakka jeetega (India will surely win).”
Harbhajan was also asked about his thoughts on the South Africa and Afghanistan clash. “Mujhe lagta hai woh bhi final me aayega (I think even they will make it to the final).” Harbhajan added, speaking about Afghanistan’s chances in the game.

If we go by the actual match predictions, it is likely that South Africa will defeat Afghanistan while India becomes victorious against England. South Africa has a 71% chance of winning against Afghanistan with 29% chances of a victory.
On the other hand, India has a 58% chance of defeating England. Another important fact to point out is that Guyana, where India and England are to face off, has 88% chances of a rain on the time of the match. In that case, India will get a direct ticket to the finale.
Considering how these teams have performed in the previous matches, both matches are likely to be close calls. Also, if a semifinal is rained out, the team who finished higher in their group’s Super-Eight points table advances to the final.
