Sneh Rana
SNEH RANA
Sneh Rana is an Indian cricketer, who currently plays for Railways and India as a right-arm off-break bowler and right-handed batter. Sneh is well known for becoming the first Indian woman and fourth in the history of the sport to bag a half-century and take four-wicket during her test debut.
History :
Sneh Rana was born on 18 February 1994. She belongs to a Rajput family. Her father was a farmer, and her mother was a homemaker. They supported her a lot throughout her cricket journey. Apart from cricket, she used to play badminton when she was young. When she was nine years old, she used to play cricket matches with boys. Her father saw her interest in cricket and got her enrolled in Little Master’s Academy, Dehradun. When she practiced cricket on the ground, she used to bring English and Maths textbooks and teach other girls there. In an interview, her sister, Ruchi talked about Sneh and said that she was a tomboy and always used to play with boys
Her Debut:

The first tournament that she played was when her club participated in a tournament in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. She was awarded the Women of the Series award in the tournament.
In an interview, her coach said that initially, Sneh was very shy to play in front of them.
After playing cricket in Uttrakhand, she went to Haryana because there were no cricket associations in Uttrakhand. After playing the U-19 in Haryana, she became part of the Punjab cricket team.
International Career:
She made her Women’s One Day International and Women’s Twenty20 International debuts against Sri Lanka in 2014. After a knee injury in 2016, she was sidelined from the national team, and would not play international cricket for another five years. During this period, she played domestic cricket and also played for India B. In May 2021, she was named in India’s Test squad for their one-off match against the England women’s cricket team. Rana made her Test debut on 16 June 2021, for India against England. In January 2022, she was named to India’s team for the 2022 Women’s Cricket World Cup in New Zealand In July 2022, she was named to India’s team for the cricket tournament at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England.

Sneh Rana, who fetched INR 75 Lakh during the WPL Player Auction, brings to the table her all-round expertise and will be someone GG will depend on for her amazing skills.
Achievements:
In India’s third match of the series against the West Indies, she was India’s top bowler (3/22 in 9.3 overs) as India bowled out the West Indies for 162 to win by a wide margin.
Her No. 8 batting position of an undefeated 80 was the third-highest in women’s Test matches. In that match, her unbroken 104-run 9th wicket stand with Tania Bhatia was the second-greatest in women’s Test history.
She also set the record for scoring over 50 and taking over four wickets at the opening of a Test match.
