Fernando on Missing the Century:

Since the beginning of the innings, Avishka Fernando was in an exciting form. He used every opportunity beautifully and pushed his team closer to winning. Even he played an exciting knock but his dismissal was unfortunate. He was dismissed in an LBW by Riyan Parag and ended his exciting innings with 96 runs.

That was unfortunate. While talking about this, he said, “It was a challenging wicket and a bit disappointed not to get a hundred but happy with the win.”

With that series win, Sri Lanka got a huge boost in their confidence. After defeating a mighty side like India, they gained confidence before the Champions Trophy. But that is a concern of India and they need to resolve the issue soon.
