In this match, apart from Stoinis, Travis Head played a crucial knock. While opening the innings, he played a knock of 68 runs in 49 balls. That was a huge asset of Australia’s innings. Stoinis hailed his teammate saying, “ We (himself and Head) were just talking about batting along, take on one bowler and I think he changed the game with those three sixes.”
Before stepping into the T20 World Cup, Stoinis played some good cricket in the IPL 2024. After playing this impactful knock against Scotland, he talked about the preparation. He said, “ I’ve been playing consistently, getting chances over the last 3-4 months and in the IPL, that’s helped me keep up with the form and get the runs.”
