“There was some sort of miscommunication.”- Saha on his NCA days

Wriddhiman Saha has been receiving appreciating nowadays for his extraordinary skills behind the wickets. He is now considered as the best keeper by many including his captain and coach. Saha, while talking about the same with Times Now shared his thoughts on this and a lot more things.

The NCA’s injury handling has attracted criticism in recent times. Saha who was in the academy for his treatment was asked about the same. He said that his case was not mishandled and according to him there was some miscommunication. “It was not a case of mishandling rather I would say there was some sort of miscommunication. Post my surgery, whatever exercises the medical team used to give me I enjoyed them a lot and gave me 100 per cent. And I had a gala time with all the physios, the medical staff and the players present there at that time, and hence it didn’t become boring. I just remained positive with just one thing in my mind – to get back to the cricket field again!”

Saha on the Indian bowling attack

He was then asked about the best bowling line-up in the contemporary cricket world. To which Saha said that it a challenge for him to keep up with the improving bowling all the time as every pacers bowl at 140+ (kmph). “The Indian bowling attack is arguably the best in the world at the moment. Every pacer in our team is bowling at 140+ (kmph) nowadays regardless of the conditions. Yes, it was definitely a big challenge keeping up with the improving bowling attack and hopefully, I did well (smiles),” he added.
He also added how he liked to stay positive no matter what the situation is. So be it injury or something he never thought otherwise. Saha was in the squad of India’s tour of West Indies but it was only against the Proteas at home that he got chance in the first eleven.
