In an exciting announcement, three Indians have been chosen to experience the iconic Theatre of Dreams, home to Manchester United, alongside club legend Gary Neville. This unique opportunity allows fans to immerse themselves in the rich history and culture of one of football’s most celebrated clubs. The selected individuals will tour the stadium and also engage in exclusive activities to celebrate their passion and their admiration for Neville’s illustrious career.
The Selection Process: How Fans Were Chosen
Three Indians, Mohd Ayan of Lucknow, Shreejal Kisku of Bubhaneswar, and PC Lalchhuanawma of Mizoram, were chosen by Manchester United on Friday at the Minerva Academy here to travel to Old Trafford Stadium.
In the fourth season of United We Play, a grassroots development program of Apollo Tyres and United, they were one of five South Asian winners. The other winners were Chanason Chaiyatham of Thailand and Bhakta Bahadur Pariyar of Nepal, who were all selected in front of club veteran Gary Neville.
“Delighted to see the dedication and passion for football among young children in India.“Investing in youth development is extremely important and I am very pleased to see the efforts Manchester United and its partners in having built this platform, which encourages the youth to pursue their passion for football,” said Neville, who was a member of Man United’s famed Class of 92’.
In addition to that, this edition expanded to additional cities in the Asia Pacific and Middle East, including Kathmandu, Bangkok, Dhaka, and Dubai. “Many congratulations to the young players whose hard work has paid off today. I am sure that the experience they will have at the iconic Old Trafford will be memories of a lifetime,” he added.
