But the Indian captain participated in the match and played an exceptional unbeaten knock of 52 runs in 27 balls. After the victory, she opened up about this. Harmanpreet Kaur said, “Haanji, sab theek hai. Uphar wale di meher hai, bas chal raha hai (all is good by God’s grace, going good).”

After facing a setback in the first game, India women bounced back and registered two consecutive wins. In the match against Sri Lanka Women, Indis gave a great start. Shefali Verma scored 43 runs in 40 balls. Smriti Mandhana scored an incredible half-century.

Captain Harmanpreet Kaur played an exceptional knock. They kept their domination alive in the second innings. Arundhati Reddy and Asha Sobhana secured 3 wickets each. Renuka Singh secured two crucial scalps. They restricted the opponent in just 90 runs and secured a big 82-run win.

After the win, the Indian captain discussed about the pitch and addressed it as a tricky one. She said, “These pitches are really tricky, we can’t go and execute. Today lot of things went according to plan. We were thinking at least 160 and we set 170-plus.”

The next target for the team is crucial. They are all set to face Australia Women. The Aussie side is an exceptional form after registering consecutive wins. That upcoming match will be important will be crucial for both sides.
