Dilip Vengsarkar, a former Indian cricketer and cricket administrator, established the program in 2014 at the Cricket Club of India (CCI).

On October 17, 1999, Shri. Chandrakanth Pandit, a student of Shri. Ramakant Achrekar founded the CPCC Cricket Academy. Chandrakanth Pandit, who competed internationally and is regarded as one of the sharpest cricketing brains, is renowned for his coaching abilities as the longtime head coach of Mumbai, the most successful Ranji team.
