Mohammad Shami Named His Best Friends in Cricket:

In Indian cricket, Mohammad Shami is a pivotal bowling figure in the fast bowling unit. Despite battling an ankle injury, he played a key role in India’s standout performance during the ODI World Cup, emerging as the tournament’s top wicket-taker.

However, due to persistent ankle pain, he withdrew from the South Africa series. He also struggled with stiffness before the England series in January, which hindered his recovery. Consequently, he required surgery and has been sidelined from cricket for an extended period. Because of that, he missed the entire test series against England, the IPL 2024, and a major event like T20 World Cup 2024.

In a recent interview, Mohammad Shami revealed his best friends in cricket. He said, “Virat Kohli and Ishant Sharma are my best friends. They constantly kept calling me when I was injured”. Three of them have been playing for a long time now. Their good bond is seen whenever they are on the field.

On Having PR:

Nowadays, PR is a common thing. In a recent interview, the veteran placer opened up about this topic. When the interviewer asked him whether should he keep PR or not, Shami said, “I don’t want PR, I want the love of people”. That caught the attention.

Star Indian pacer Mohammed Shami, who has been out of action since the 2023 ODI World Cup due to an injury, has taken a significant step towards returning to competitive cricket. Recently, Shami shared a video on Instagram showing himself bowling in the nets. This marks his first on-field activity since his injury.

Although Shami has made progress in recovering from his ankle injury, he is still not bowling at full intensity. He took to the nets cautiously, delivering a few balls as part of his training. This step is encouraging for fans and indicates that Shami is on the path to making a full comeback.
