Dhruv Jurel, the young wicketkeeper-batter, stole the show on Day 3 of the Duleep Trophy match between India A and India B. Despite failing to make a significant impact with the bat, Jurel’s exceptional wicketkeeping skills were on full display as he took five catches, including a stunning diving catch to dismiss Musheer Khan.
Jurel’s heroics behind the stumps played a crucial role in India A’s comeback against India B. He took two early catches to dismiss Yashasvi Jaiswal and Abhimanyu Easwaran, giving India A a strong start. Later in the innings, Jurel’s acrobatic skills were on full display as he produced a full-stretch diving catch to dismiss Musheer Khan off Avesh Khan‘s delivery.

The diving catch was particularly impressive, as Musheer Khan had attempted to play a shot down the fine leg. Jurel’s quick reaction and agility allowed him to make a spectacular catch, leaving Khan and the fielders in awe.
Jurel’s wicketkeeping performance was further highlighted by his dismissal of Rishabh Pant, who had been in good form for India B. Jurel took a good catch off Khaleel Ahmed‘s delivery to dismiss Pant and help India A restrict India B’s lead to 240 runs at the end of Day 3.
The 23-year-old Jurel has been making a name for himself with his impressive performances. He recently made his Test debut against England and scored 190 runs in four innings. While he is likely to face competition from Rishabh Pant for the wicketkeeping spot in the upcoming home Tests against Bangladesh and New Zealand, Jurel’s performance in the Duleep Trophy has certainly showcased his talent and potential.
