At first, he took Gill’s wicket and after that, he took Sharma’s, Kohli’s, Rahul’s, and Pandya’s. He took all these wickets only in 40 runs. In his bowling, he challenged both edges of right-hand batters.

Rahul’s comment on Wellalage:

Rahul came to this tournament after a big injury. In this match, he scored 39. But he was the best batter against the Sri Lanka spinners. After the match, he added,” After playing the first few balls I tried to figure out what shots I can play here”
