The Ireland National Cricket team will host Windies and Bangladesh for the Tri-Nation series which will start from 5th May. This series is termed as preparation for Windies and Bangladesh for the mega event – Cricket World Cup 2019 that will be hosted by England and Wales. This Tri-Series in Ireland will be the last international ODI series for any team before the CWC 2019. The first match of the series will be played at Clontarf Cricket Club Ground, Clontarf between Ireland and Windies.
The Bangladesh team was defeated by New Zealand in their last ODI Series whereas the Windies were able to draw their series against England. Ireland had drawn the ODI series against Afghanistan.

Several players from Windies are currently participating in the Indian Premier League. The likes of Andre Russell, Chris Gayle, Shimron Hetmyer, Oshane Thomas, Nicholas Pooran, Evin Lewis and Carlos Brathwaite are featuring for different franchises of the league.
As per reports in ESPNcricinfo, all these players will be considered for selection only if their respective franchises don’t make it to the playoffs. On the other hand, for Bangladesh, only Shakib Al Hasan is playing in the IPL.
