Beth Mooney was dismissed by Renuka Singh in just 8 runs. Phoebe Litchfield scored 5 runs in 12 balls. Veda Krishnamurthy walked away after scoring 9 runs. Opener Harleen Deol scored 22 runs in 31 balls. That was the highest score of their side.
To win the match, RCB needed to chase a target of 108 runs. The job was easy and the team chased it down successfully. Skipper Smriti Mandhana played a captain’s knock. She played an exciting knock of 43 runs in 27 balls. She smashed 8 boundaries and 1 over-boundary. She missed her well-deserved half-century.
S. Meghana and Ellyse Perry carried the team toward the win. Meghana was unbeaten on 36 runs in 28 balls. She smashed 5 boundaries and 1 over-boundary. Ellyse Perry remained not out on 23 runs in 14 balls with 4 boundaries. They won the match by 4 wickets. With that, they become the new table topper.
