The Women’s Premier League’s inaugural season will start on March 4 on Saturday. Smriti Mandhana, who signed with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for 3.4 crores, was the most expensive player at the first-ever WPL auction held in Mumbai last month. Meanwhile, Gujarat Giants (GG) paid 3.2 crores to get Australian superstar Ashleigh Gardner. At the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai on Saturday, the Giants will play the Harmanpreet Kaur-led Mumbai Indians (MI).
The team has a long batting lineup but lacks quality bowling options. Hence the balance of the playing 11 must be carefully looked upon. Hence Nat Sciver is a crucial member of the side who could balance the team with bat and ball.
Nat Sciver Brunt is the first player to take a hattrick in the Women’s Twenty20 International match. She is a natural leader and was also the vice captain of the side during the 2022 Commonwealth games.
