Even with a setback in the first game of the season of WPL 2024, Delhi Capitals made a remarkable comeback. The DC girls showed great character in the match. On February 26, Delhi Capitals met UP Warriorz at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore in the fourth match of the league. In this match, Delhi sealed a massive 9-wicket win.
After winning the toss, DC decided to bowl first. The bowlers have been amazing since the first. Opener Vrinda Dinesh was dismissed on a duck. Marizanne Kapp got the first success on behalf of her team. Skipper Alyssa Healy got out after scoring 13 runs in 15 balls. Shweta Sehrawat scored 45 runs in 42 balls.
On the other hand, the DC bowlers nailed the show. Radha Yadav was outstanding. She took four wickets in just 20 runs. Marizanne Kapp took 3 wickets in only 5 runs. That was a game-changing performance. Arundhati Reddy and Annable Sutherland ended up taking one wicket each.
While bowling, UP Warriorz struggled in front of the Delhi batters. Only Sophie Ecclestone took just 1 wicket in 31 runs. Other than her, no other bowler was able to take wickets. Delhi Capitals registered their first win of the tournament.
