Fans have witnessed six thrilling WPL matches. On February 29th, they witnessed another thriller between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals. On the 7th match of the league, both teams met at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium again. In this match, the cricket world witnessed some unbelievable performances by the DC bowlers.
After winning the ross, RCB decided to bowl first. Sophie Devine got the first success from the team, she picked up skipper Meg Lanning in 11 runs. But after that, they struggled. After a long wait, Shreyanka Patil broke the well-built partnership between Shafali Verma and Alice Capsey. Shreyanka dismissed Shafali on 50 runs.
Instantly, they had another success. Nadine de Klerk dismissed Jemimah Rodrigues on a duck. After that, she dismissed Alice Capsey on 46 runs. Sophie Devine dismissed Marizanne Kapp. At the end of the first innings, Sophie Devine and Nadine de Klerk took 2 wickets each and Shreyanka ended up taking one.
In the second innings, the DC bowlers struggled initially. After that, dominatingly they took the match away from the opponent. After the top order got dismissed, RCB’s middle and lower middle order were destroyed by the bowlers. Jess Jonasen got 3 wickets in 21 runs. Marizanne Kapp and Arundhati Reddy ended up taking 2 wickets each. Shikha Pandey took 1 wicket in 27 runs.
