The Women’s Premier League has been commenced. The second season is showing its excitement till the beginning. After the first exciting fixture, the second match was also thrilling. Royal Challengers Bangalore registered a narrow win of 2 runs in the first match. The RCB bowlers performed exceptionally well and turned the match.
In the second match, RCB met UP Warriorz at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. After winning the toss, UP Warriorz won the toss and decided to bowl first. While batting first, RCB lost the first two wickets quickly. UP Warriorz gave a dominating start. Grace Harris and Tahila McGrath were stricken early.
Sabbhineni Meghana and Richa Ghosh made a good partnership but Rajeshwari Gayakwad broke the partnership. She ended up taking 2 wickets in 24 runs. Grace Harris, Tahila McGrath, Sophie Ecclestone, and Deepti Sharma took one each.
On the other hand, RCB bowlers were amazing on the field. They dominated the opponent and sealed the win. In the beginning, they picked up a few wickets and didn’t let them build a big partnership. Sobhana Asha was magnificent. She registered an electrical fifer in the match. That pushed the team closer to winning. Georgia Wareham and Sophie Molineux took one each. RCB won the match just by 2 runs.
