It’s the 11th day of the Women’s Premier League 2024. On March 4, Royal Challengers Bangalore met UP Warriorz at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. The cricket enthusiasts experienced another match full of some great cricket masterclasss. But in the end, RCB nailed the win.
After winning the toss, UP Warriorz opted to bowl first. The UP Warriorz bowlers struggled since the first. They conceded plenty of runs which cost the match. Anjali Sarvani conceded 41 runs in 3 overs and took 1 wicket. Deepti Sharma conceded 30 runs and took 1 wicket. Sophie Ecclestone picked 1 wicket in 22 runs.
The target of 199 runs was not that easy to chase for Warriorz. They struggled even in Batting. RCB bowlers showed their brilliance again. Sophie Devine got the first wicket for the team. She dismissed Kiran Navgire on 18 runs. After that, Chamari Athapaththu, Grace Harris, and Shweta Sehrawat lost their wickets early.
After losing a few wickets frequently, UP Warriorz was under pressure and RCB bowlers used the situation. Sophie Devine ended up taking 2 wickets in 37 runs. Sophie Molineux took 2 wickets in 29 runs. Georgia Wareham took 2 wickets in 38 runs. Sobhana Asha ended up taking 2 wickets in 29 runs. RCB won the match by 23 runs.
