Yograj Singh Criticizes Former India Captain MS Dhoni and Vows Never to Forgive

Yuvraj Singh’s father, former cricketer Yograj Singh, has once again taken aim at 2011 World Cup-winning captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Yograj has a history of making critical remarks about Dhoni in public, frequently blaming him for hindering Yuvraj’s career. Despite the past achievements, Yograj continues to express his discontent with how Dhoni’s decisions affected Yuvraj’s journey in cricket, often attributing the derailment of his son’s career to Dhoni’s influence during that period.

Yograj Singh Shared His Opinion About MS Dhoni:

In contrast, Yuvraj Singh has never echoed such sentiments and has consistently spoken positively about his former captain and teammate, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Yuvraj has always maintained a respectful and appreciative stance towards Dhoni, often highlighting the supportive and collaborative relationship they shared during their time together on the cricket field.

In a recent interview with the Zee Switch YouTube channel, Yograj Singh once again held Mahendra Singh Dhoni responsible for the downturn in Yuvraj Singh’s career. Yograj expressed his lingering resentment towards Dhoni, stating that he could never forgive him for the impact he believes Dhoni had on his son’s cricketing journey. This criticism continues Yograj’s ongoing narrative against the former Indian captain.

He said, “ I won’t forgive MS Dhoni. He should look at his face in the mirror. He is a very big cricketer, but what he has done against my son, everything is coming out now; it can never be forgiven in life. I have never done two things in life – first, I have never forgiven anybody who has done wrong for me, and second, I have never hugged them in my life, be it my family members or my kids.”

Yograj Singh added that Yuvraj Singh could have extended his career by another 4-5 years, attributing his son’s early retirement to Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Yograj blamed Dhoni for cutting short Yuvraj’s time in cricket, suggesting that his influence played a significant role in Yuvraj’s premature exit from the sport.

He further said, “ That man (MS Dhoni) has destroyed the life of my son, who could have played four to five years more. I dare everyone to give birth to a son like Yuvraj. Even Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag have said in the past that there won’t be another Yuvraj Singh. India should award him the Bharat Ratna for playing with cancer and winning the World Cup for the country.”

Yuvraj Singh’s Glorious Career:

During Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s leadership, Yuvraj Singh was instrumental in India’s victories in the 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2011 ODI World Cup. The left-handed all-rounder delivered some of his finest performances on the international stage under Dhoni’s captaincy. Yuvraj’s contributions were crucial in these historic wins, showcasing his peak form and exceptional skills while playing an essential role in the team’s success during Dhoni’s tenure.
