Know Zampa in a little better way:

Adam Zampa is an exception spinner for the Australian side. He is a match-winner of the team. In the last match against England, Zampa took 3 wickets in 21 runs. That was an excellent performance. This performance helped Australia to win the match. After this match, Adam Zampa opened up. In the cricket world, Adam Zampa is known as a little different and quirky member of the Australian squad. When this question was asked to him, he gave a witty reply. He said, “ I say this all the time. I think I’m the most normal person in the squad. I get called weird and rare. But it’s absolutely not true. There are four bloks in this squad who will take the cake for that. And sometimes they change rankings. At the moment, it’s probably Sean Abbott. He is the weirdest.

Look Back into the T20 World Cup in 2021:

Australia faced Pakistan in the semifinal of the T20 World Cup 2021 in UAE. Before facing Babar Azam, Adam Zampa did a lot of homework before that. When he was asked about this, he said, “ Yeah, I try and have plan A, plan B, and plan C in my head before I go out there. Also, depending on the wickets, the pitch, and the game situation as well, I’ll have different fields and different deliveries that I’d want to bowl, different angles that my research would have shown worked against certain players. With T20 cricket, you can be really in-depth about your research as well.”

A Better Version of Him:

Adam Zampa has crossed eight years in international cricket. He made his ODI debut on February 2016, against Australia at Wellington. He came with talent but by the passing of time, he made it more polished and skillful. Australia registered many wins depending on his exceptional abilities. When he was asked about the process of being better, he shared his thoughts. He said, “ I think my realization of playing in Australia, coming to these conditions and being adaptable. You put in your adaptability, your preparation, your reflection, all those things, that’s helped me stay in it for so long as well. I got to India the first time and tried bowling like I would in Australia and learned from that. Preparation-wise, as a young guy I was like ‘It’s ok I’ll work it out’ when I’m out there. Didn’t always work. So, I realized I have to be more prepared.”

A Dream Form in the World Cup:

In this World Cup, among all the overseas spinners, Adam Zampa is shining the brightest. He is taking 3-4 wickets in every match and pushing his team closer to win. In Indian conditions, he is doing well with every passing day. When he was asked about this, he gave a long reply. He said, “ Yeah lot pride for sure. Especially, the first couple of tours here, I was like quite daunted by the challenge. Those first couple of tours, I think I got lucky, didn’t bowl my best but still got wickets. That’s been the thing with me as well. Like I have never had to bowl at my best to get wickets. I don’t know whether it’s like a mental thing or the fact that I have been able to keep myself in spells and the game for getting my wickets.

He also added, “ I don’t know if I realized at the time that my strength is my natural ability to read players. But even when the ball wasn’t coming out well, I was getting wickets and that built my confidence when I came over. Then when I came over, I got older and better and realized I can put the ball where I want to and that’s helped.”

Vision of Life:

Lastly, there was a topic about Adam Zampa’s life-leading process. He believes there is a life more than cricket. And that thing is interesting. He is interested in his life about cricket. When he was asked about this, he gave an amazing answer. He said, “ Yeah Particularly in the last two years or so. I’ve had more realization. I joke about this all the time. No matter how many wickets you get for Australia or how many World Cups you win, once it’s all done it’s done. Some ex-cricketers will disagree because they think that what they did was really important and it’s still relevant. I don’t feel like anything I’m doing now is going to really matter. I’m enjoying what I’m doing now. Having that balance with family, with farm, the baby now, and all of it put together. I have got this great vision of what my life looks like after cricket. Whether cricket is still there and I’m involved in it. But I’ve got this vision of knowing that what I’m doing right now doesn’t matter. It’s helping me set myself up for it.”
