After the World Cup 2023, India and Australia are facing each other in a five-match T20 series. The first two T20s are done already. India is leading the series by 2-0. Australia won the World Cup for the sixth team after defeating India in the final. For this T20 series, India’s most of the World Cup players are rested. For the remaining three T20s, Australia has made a few changes.
Changes in the Squad:
India is already the series. The third T20 is crucial for Australia. That match will decide the future of the series. Before the third match, Australia made some changes. Six members of Australia’s World Cup squad were included in the five-match T20 series. Adam Zampa and Steve Smith have already returned home. Zampa missed the first T20 and played the second one. Smith played both games and now go home.
After them, the other four members of the squad, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Josh Inglis, and Sean Abbott are ready to en route home after the third T20. Travis Head will only stay in the T20 squad as a World Cup squad member. He made the World Cup debut in the mid-way. After that, he had an amazing World Cup season.
Australia’s Updated Squad:
There are some new call-ups for the replacements. Ben McDermott, Josh Philippe, Ben Dwarshuis and Chris Green came as replacements. The management is hoping, after their entry, the the condition will be better. In the last T20, Australia faced a defeat by 44 runs. In that match, Marcus Stoinis played an inning of 45 runs. They fell short of fighting and faced defeat.
Australia has released its updated squad. The squad contained with Matthew Wade, Jason Behrendroff, Tim David, Ben Dwarshuis, Nathan Ellis, Chris Green, Aaron Hardie, Travis Head, Ben McDermott, Josh Philippe, Tanveer Sangha, Matt Short, and Kane Richardson.
