In the third Border-Gavaskar Test against Australia in Brisbane, Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah commended Mohammed Siraj for showing his determination while struggling with niggle. When Bumrah showcased his exceptional bowling of 6/76, the rest of India’s bowling attack faced challenges as Australia scored 445 in the first innings.
Siraj, is known for his fighting spirit and has managed to get 2/97 in his 23.2 overs. Bumrah has highlighted Siraj’s unshakeable commitment and said “He had a little bit of a niggle but still kept on bowling and helped the team because he knew if he stopped, it would put us under pressure. He’s got a fighter’s spirit that the team loves.”

“We don’t point fingers. It’s my job to help others, as I’ve played a little more than them,” he stated.
Bumrah has also highlighted the need for patience in such conditions and said “Test cricket has days where you bowl a lot and some where you don’t. That’s the beauty of it.” His consistent performances, including his second five-wicket haul of the series, solidify his status as a leader in the attack.

Bumrah has reflected on the challenges on the diverse Australian conditions in the series. Bumrah has welcomed them as opportunities for growth.“The Perth pitch, Adelaide’s pink ball, and now this Brisbane wicket all offer different challenges. Solving those problems brings me the greatest satisfaction,” he explained.
With rain interruptions on Day 3, India struggled with the bat, finishing at 51/4, further highlighting the uphill battle they faced in the Test match.
