In the auction, they registered the biggest purchase of the IPL. They bought Aussie star Mitchell Starc with an unbelievable amount of 24.75 crore. His years-long experience is an asset to the franchise.
Recently, Starc talked about Gambhir. He said, “Gautam Gambhir has been fantastic. His knowledge of the game and the way he loves KKR, is superb”. In four matches, he was struggling with his form. But in the last game against Lucknow Super Giants, he took 3 wickets in 28 runs.

Kolkata Knight Riders were all boosted up before stepping into the tournament. From the very first match, they are showing their excellence. In the first match, they faced Sunrisers Hyderabad. That was a perfect thriller as both teams scored 200+ but KKR snatched the win by 4 runs. They continued their domination as they defeated RCB by 7 wickets.
Kolkata’s biggest win of this season till now came against Delhi Capitals. In that match, KKR put on a total of 272 runs. On the other hand, DC was all out in 166 runs. KKR won the match by 106 runs. They faced their only defeat against CSK. After 5 matches, they registered 4 wins and only one defeat and standing on the second position.
