Indian fast bowling all-rounder and the captain of the defending champions Hardik Pandya has arrived at the camp of the Gujarat Capitals. The team posted the news on the official page of the Gujarat Titans. Pandya was welcomed to the Titans’ camp along with his wife and son with a garland and tika on his forehead.
Hardik Pandya will be itching to get going in this tournament. He will be looking to replicate performances from last year and help the team win the title for the second time in a row.
Last year, not many felt that the team could be the champions of the Indian Premier League. They had superstars in Rashid Khan and Hardik Pandya, Shubhman Gill to some extent, but they were looking short of star players in their lineup. Rahul Tewatia and David Miller, among others, gave them some huge and crucial performances, helping GT complete the league stage at the top with 10 victories and 20 points.
The current form of the team’s core players will be GT’s key strength this season. Pandya has accumulated a lot of experience as a captain over the past year, but it appears that Gill will be India’s next all-format player.
At 15 crores each, Hardik and Rashid Khan are arguably the two most valuable players for GT. Rahul Tewatia and Shubman Gill are next with nine and eight crores, respectively.
GT spent a lot of money at the IPL 2023 auction to get Shivam Mavi on their roster. During the auction, they also acquired Josh Little and KS Bharat from Ireland. During the auction, Kane Williamson was the most notable acquisition. Kane Williamson adds much stability to the batting order and the team looks even more potent with his inclusion.
