Hardik Pandya Congratulates Jay Shah on Being The Youngest Chairman of ICC

Many cricketers posted congratulatory messages including Hardik Pandya, as Jay Shah, the youngest person to hold this role in the history of the International Cricket Council, was elected as new ICC chairman. Shah, who is the secretary of the BCCI at the moment, will assume leadership of the ICC on December 1. Greg Barclay, a resident of New Zealand, chose not to run for a third consecutive two-year term as chairman of the cricket governing body, and the 35-year-old will take over as chairman.

Recently appointed head coach of Team India Gautam Gambhir also congratulated Shah on his new role on his X account (previously known as Twitter). “Congratulations, Jay Shah bhai! I’m confident that under your outstanding direction, cricket will flourish globally.” Written by Gambhir.

The only candidate for the chairperson, an administrator from Ahmedabad, emphasized his dedication to growing cricket’s appeal and worldwide reach, particularly in light of the sport’s impending inclusion in the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
