Mumbai Indians take on the field against Punjab Kings today in the 42nd match of Indian Premier League 2021. And the young batter of the side, Ishan Kishan has missed out.
Ishan Kishan has not been getting enough runs with the bat and it is creating pressure on the middle-order. The Mumbai Indians middle-order is often failing to capitalize on the good starts provided by their openers. Moreover, Ishan Kishan who is considered as a bright youngster of Indian cricket has already started getting negative remarks. A lot of people want him to be dropped from the final squad for the T20 World Cup. The form is the sole reason that Ishan Kishan is missing this very important match against Punjab Kings.
Rohit Sharma winning the toss chose to field first. He informed, “We’ll look to bowl first. Just a team plan, nothing specific. It’s a good pitch to bat on, so pretty simple actually. As a team we do understand where we stand at the moment and we also understand that we haven’t played to the best of our potential. We know where we’ve made mistakes and hopefully we can correct it tonight. Because of where we stand at the moment, we have had to make some difficult changes which we didn’t want to do. A couple of changes: Ishan goes out and Tiwary comes in and NCN comes in for Milne.”
