Mumbai Indians finally won their first match in the IPL 2023 by beating Delhi Capitals in a thriller. Rohit Sharma, the player of the match and captain was seen calling his wife just after the memorable win where the MI skipper was seen admitting of skipping the last over of the match.
How Mumbai won the thriller
Rohit Sharma was the pillar of Mumbai Indians during their chase in the match against Delhi Capitals. It was much needed win for Mumbai Indians after losing two consecutive matches. Chasing 173, his 65 off 45 balls along with Tilak Varma’s 41 off 29 deliveries Mumbai Indians looked sorted but the match turned into a thriller after they lost back-to-back wickets at the death. In the last over eventually Mumbai managed to claim the win following a sixth wicket stand of 30 runs between Cameron Green (17) and Tim David (13). However, not just the fans but the captain also could not keep calm as revealed by Rohit Sharma on a video call with his wife Ritika.
