Champions Trophy Format Still Unconfirmed

The political tensions between India and Pakistan has long complicated cricketing relations. The BCCI has made it stern that they will not be sending the Indian team to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy. Thus, discussions around a hybrid model have gained momentum.

However, it has been reported that Pakistan has agreed to the hybrid format, albeit with conditions. According to media reports, the PCB is demanding written assurances from the ICC that Pakistan’s matches hosted by India in future ICC events will be played at neutral venues. Additionally, Pakistan seeks an increased share of annual ICC revenue.
